This older boy needs to be rescued and soon!!!!

http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=9253984

His adoption fee is $75 .... very low cost and I would be willing to help with transportation to new home.

That really makes me mad when someone dumps a old dog, unless the are in the hospital or something. We adopted Tucker at age 10 & NEVER regret one day of it. He is such a grateful , loving, goofy old man. People should not be afraid to adopt an old dog , he is such a easy keeper & it makes me feel sad, but happy too that when his time comes that I knowthat he will go with a smile on his face!! Everyone that meets him wants to take him home with them! He has gone with us in the Motor home & even meet the Drummer from the " Oak Ridge Boys"[ he didn't ask my name, just Tuckers LOL ]

I agree completely. Old dogs are still just children and will love just as much. I've never had a puppy and probably won't ever. Get a good ole boy or girl and enjoy the instant mess and drama free companionship.

Even though we got a pup (had to with two cats in the house who were never exposed to a dog) I must say that it's the adults that won my heart over when were looking at getting a dog. Every adult GSP I have met simply confirms that opinion. Maybe next time if my husband lets me

I really wish we had the ability to take him even to get him a new home. My hubby is good for taking them in for about a month or so at the most. I am afraid if I take him that it will take much longer than that to find him a home. Pass the word if anyone knows of a great home for this dog. I would hate to have his life end in the shelter.

Alright URGANT update. Kaliber didn't do well for his foster family due to wanting to attack the cat. Common GSP trate. Jeff and I can pull him from the shelter today if we can get someone to foster him or adopt him. I don't want anyone making a rash decision at all but if we don't pull him today he WILL be put down tonight. If anyone can foster or adopt him let me know ASAP. I am working until 3:30 pm today! We can hold him at our home for about a week or so then we may have our next foster coming in.

Oh, this is so, so depressing!  I have my fingers crossed that you find an adopter!

I have bought him some time til tomorrow night. We just don't have everything set up yet to bring in a rescue dog. Plus my hubby is afraid it would take VERY long time to place him and he would rather be able to place more of them over one....I hope that doesn't sound harsh as I feel it does but that is how he feels and he is in this with me so I have to respect that. I am trying to convince him that we would be able to get him into a great home as he is a great dog but.....we will see. If anyone has anyone who may be interested PLEASE let me know ASAP!!!!! He is such a sweet dog, up to date on shots, fixed and HW negative!
