Welcome to
shorthairs.net
Greetings all – it took us a while, but we got the website updated with photos from the National Amateur Championship last month in Eureka, KS. We are so proud of Willow for taking fourth place! She has taken us on an incredible ride in these last two years. We had a wonderful time this year, and very much enjoyed seeing our friend, Don Dalton, take the win. His dog is an incredible young athlete, and we’re making plans for a Rusty/Willow litter in the spring. I think we’re have to call this “The Eureka Litter” as we “arranged the marriage” the night before the second series in the clubhouse at the Bechtel Ranch.

Congrats! And just wondering what the pedigree on that litter would look like...
I still need to get an official copy of NAFC/AFC Reo Pawnee's pedigree, but here are his sire and dam if that helps:
S: NFC FC NRC's Magnum's Touch of Gold D: NAGDC FC QC's Prime Suspect
Just realized the link on the website for Thunder and Willow's pedigree isn't working - not sure why, I'll have to trouble shoot. I'll send you an email with her pedigree.
It will be an outcross, but that's intentional. We're looking for "new blood" to bring in and create our own line. The ultimate goal would hopefully be to breed a female from this litter, if it happens, to Thunder - who is WIllow's littermate. If all the stars align, that would be the second DesertRose line breeding. The first will hopefully be Teejay (Thunder's daughter) to Hemi (WIllow's son) if Teejay proves herself worthy of breeding. She's only a baby, but all indications are good thus far.

Thanks much, and you're right, she really is consistent. She seems to totally thrive on the adrenaline rush at a field trial and that's when she really shines.
