I was wondering if anyone new of any good breeders in NY (particularly Western NY).  After getting Leroy we have really fallen in love with the breed.  We have considered getting another, but this would be something in the future/long run.   and would just like to be familiar with breeders around the area.

I actually live in Buffalo NY because I go to school here, but my parents live in Marlboro MA so I guess Maine wouldn't be all that far from there.  I visit them alot during breaks and summers.

I'm in Western, NY too - Boston.  I'm tentatively planning a breeding in the spring.  We do everything with our dogs - show, hunt, obedience - to name a few.  We are members and officers of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Western NY and the NAVHDA Finger Lakes Chapter (train at the Alabama Swamps).  This will be my third litter, 4th generation, all breeding stock (sire and dam) have their health clearances.

I haven't had time to put together a website but I do have pages for my dogs and I will list them here.  Beretta will be the dam.  Drop me a line!!

You might want to check out Rick Paine in Arcade, NY.  He has been in shorthairs for a looonnnnnnggggg time.  I got my first 2 GSPs from him 20 years ago and have been more than pleased with what I got and what they have produced over the years.  I also used his current stud dog several times and he is producing some really awesome pups.
