BALANCE remains the cornerstone of our breeding philosophy at STERNJAGER and this breeding follows that proven wisdom. Turner and Rip trace their linage to a blend of the best of American and German lines and one of these females could take your hunting or competition to the next level.  Turner is the seventh generation of NAVHDA NA prized I dog, and comes from 6 generations of Utility titled dogs, not to mention her sire is a third generation AKC Dual Champion.  Rip comes from the prominent Sharp Shooters line and has the old side of the Shooting Starr line close to the front of his pedigree.

These will be very early developing dogs and will show up with all the right tools  balanced with the cooperation to make anyone successful.

See all the pictures, complete pedigree and detailed information on the sire and dam by visiting us on the web at www.sternjager.com ,or call me directly at 785/484-2019 (H) or 785/331-9378 (M).  Good Hunting!

The requirements to post a litter here are clearly stated.  While I did find OFA certification on the dam, I don't see the sire listed, nor is there any mention of it.  If he has hip certification (either OFA or PennHIP) please provide it.

Rick

Rick,

Thanks for catching that for me.

Turner is OFA'd, and was examined as follows:                                            OFA GOOD GSP-13469G36F-NOPI

Rip's hips were examined using PENN Hip and were:  Left 0.37, Right 0.33

I am at the office now,  I will get the PENN Hip registration number when I get home, and I can post it later tonight.

Thanks again Rick and sorry for any confusion my omission may have caused.

Good Hunting!

George

Briar,

Thanks for the kind words.  I think I have picked out our keeper, which was the reason I put this litter together.   She slept in the bed with me last night - never a whine, whimper or wiggle.  I'm in love again...!

I checked out your website, and I have to say your Westwind dog is quite the handsome fellow.  As a practice I disagree with all the contract stuff the Westwind guy does (I work hard for my money, and I assume you all do too so you shuld own what you pay for...but that's just me talking) but you have to give the devil his due...Gary has turned out some great stuff.  Enjoy the pup, and I wish you success with your website.  Thanks again.

thanks for the compliment , I really love the dogs with a bit of hustler in em,(like yours).
I am not sure what you mean about the contract. Westwind (gary) gave me one of the simplest contracts I have ever seen , just gives me a good guarantee on the pup nothing more in Gary's contract. other than that I had to pick a name with the letter C and follow it by vd westwind. I have full rights to my pup. I totaly own him full registered. I also would never buy a pup otherwise.
Unless you were asking about a female he does have totally different rules for his female pups.

I really love that pup #3 of yours something about them pups with the large liver spots. Really gets me ..
Got me wondering could I handle training 3 pups this season..

Briar,
I am glad you feel comfortable with Gary and the contract. In searching for a stud dog in the past, I had made contact with other male owners who did not feel the same about the deal, as Gary did not give up the rights even thought the owner had put titles on the dog as requested. Again, I am really glad you feel good about the deal.
Pup #3 is already taken, but she isn’t the darkest in the pack anyhow. Overall, I would say Windy or Dora have the most liver and the way their coats break up, they will we be easy to hide in the duck blind. Rocket has lots of liver too, but she is a walking trail guy’s dream dog, as her white is very bright and pops off her coat. Everything she does looks classy, she points with great intensity, and I think she even sleeps with a 11-12 o’clock tail. Puppies are too much fun.

Good evening,

I just wanted to drop everyone a note about Turner.  She is my personal gundog and wow.  She has hunted all over IL, MO, KS, and SD on upland birds and waterfowl.  On her first duck hunt, she picked up 16 teal.  She is an inside and outside dog and has been dynamite with the family.  When she is in you can find her asleep with my 6 year old daughter in bed.  Anyway if your looking, you can't go wrong with this litter.  I know my dog and I know NAVHDA and the male won't steer you wrong either.
