Hey Jere, My shoulder healed up OK. Not great, but OK. I had other problems last spring, but that has worked out also. I had to have major surgery, but all is well now. I feel like a new man!!! Bird counts are good. We had over a foot of rain the last two months. More than our yearly average. Lots of cover, lots of seeds and bugs. I will know more in the next two weeks. I will be training a lot on wild birds. I will let you know. Are you planning on coming down again this winter? tc Terry and Janet Chandler Rugerheim Kennels German Shorthaired Pointers/Horses Las Cruces, NM 575-382-5231 -----Original Message----- From: working-gundog-request@web.whc.net [mailto:working-gundog-request@web.whc.net] On Behalf Of Jere Murray Sent: Tuesday, September 30, 2008 12:34 AM To: working-gundog@web.whc.net Subject: RE: [working-gundog] on steadiness details 1 Yes, Terry., and even beyond. I clearly remember your comment about my black dog moving slightly to the side to mark the flight of that chukar you rousted out of the bush. This works for me in my world but I understand the need for ever increasing standards in real competitive venues so that there may be a winner. How's the quail crop look for this winter??? AND, how did the collar bone heal? Jere > > In my world, if a dog shows any sign of letting up on intensity when > the handler arrives, you are done. ...> tc > >
