I just returned from Nebraska where I judged the Prairie Chicken Championship and Region 17 Championship. It was all VERY interesting. Both events were ran on wild birds, sharptail and prairie chickens. Many of the dogs had a hard time handling those "spookie" birds. Some did VERY well on them. The Championships were ran on hay fields and sand hills. Lots of cactus and sandburs. All dogs were ran off of horseback.
