It's not often I post in this section but ...... I'm proud to announce that Terra completed her Field Dog (FD) title this past Tuesday with a score of 94 out of 100 and 1st place in her class. Terra had her 2nd litter just 7 weeks ago so we hadn't been out on birds since last year. I had practiced weekly last summer for this particular test and then she came into season so we had to withdraw. I'm not a hunter and this was my first dog ever to complete FD handled by me.

Nice Work!!! Diego finished his this year too. Definatly a fun test.

Pixie its the same as the AKC SH test except dogs are not run in a brace and a back is not required. The dog is required to be steady to shot and must retrieve to hand.

Not an easy task to prepare a dog and do well.
Will youtake her further?

I would like to be able to run her in UT, maybe next year. We are keeping a puppy from Terra's litter so she would run NA in 2009. I don't have any water close by so training the duck search is tough for me. It's kind of a long term goal, something I've always wanted to try!

AWESOME Gail!

Speaking of puppies.... Have I missed the puppy pix somewhere??? Hmmmmmm?

Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail.
