Hi everyone!
When our beloved ES bitch Foxy passed away June 5 this year I promised to write something about her on our website. I said "later", knowing that my emotional state after her death had to be given so much time to settle so I could give a little bit balanced report of her life.

Well, now it is done. Foxy was an influential dog and she still have great influence on me. Writing about her has been a messy work with tears running all over my face and the keyboard. However it has also been a great privilege to have had the opportunity to live a long lifetime of a dog with such a strong character, and I feel honoured to be able to tell a hint about it.

You will find the story on our website, in Torstis corner. URL below.

Re: [working-gundog] Finally done!
I was thinking about you this evening Torsti and then to my amazement about 15 minutes later your email arrived about dear Foxy!

When I saw the photo of Foxy on the last day of her life, I have to admit to having tears.  The memoriam you wrote about her was moving and also gave such character of the dog she was and how she lived her life and what she achieved.  So many people over the world have known her through Maud’s photographs and your words, not many dogs can be so well known and live on in so many peoples’ memories.

Thank you Sonia, for your thoughts!

I wish I could sober up and leave the bad moment behind, for now!

It is hard and the pain at times is unbearable. Take some comfort that you were fortunate to have known her and with you both she lived the very best life that she could.

Wonderfully said, Sonia. I'll echo these sentiments, Torsti, as I cannot have said it better.

Thanks Jerry!
It is difficult to understand how totally dogs have come to rule our life's once we learned to know. To some folks dogs are just dogs. Well, they are dogs but they contain a lot more than we can understand to start with. Then when we have disclosed them and some of their content a bit and started to like them and love them, then we again at some point discover that they are just dogs!

There is something special in the human relation to dogs that I cant even explain in Swedish, lot less in english, but I have to think about it for some time.

Have to make a birthday dinner for Maud!
