I was pretty disappointed that the Shorthair Journal reported on all aspects of NSS giving results and did not give qualifyers in the Hunt Test.  First time a hunt test has been run in conjunction with the Show in years and they did not give stats   The write up talked about some 10 preformances and did not even say by who.   Of course the stats were given on Agility, Show Tracking, ect.....Maybe hunting is not important to them

Funny you mention that B! I thought the exact same thing and was both upset and offended that hunting abilities of the GSP do not seem to be much on the Radar with the parent club apparently. This is of course, the National Meeting and Banquet and you would think would give a good representation of what the GSPCA stands for. I was also highly upset when Trekkers award and induction into the Hall of Fame met a luke warm reception from all of those in attendance at the Banquet, except for those that I knew to be involved with hunting and hunting related venues. You would have thought that more appreciation could have been shown, especially since the owner had travelled all the way there just to receive that award. Might be high time to reconsider when, where and how the National Meeting is held......... orrrrr, perhaps it is high time for a "party crash" by all of the lowly Trialers and Testers at the next NSS ;-) Of course, there is the NGSPA and NGPDA...............

Well, I personally feel like I want to give a standing ovation to the Duals when they are in the ring at the Spec. It is a privilage to watch them knowing what they have had to do. It is sad that the reaction of audience is just like it is another class of dogs:(

Well, I for one was very excited to see them(DC's) in person.  It was the first time I had ever seen one in person.  Maybe next year the owners should dress them in blue suits with red capes with SD (super dog) on there chest as a way to be noticed.  They are the best of the best!

I agree with both of you and that was my whole difficulty. Perhaps I am so enthusiastic about the Dual, that I think they deserve a higher recognition. I wouldn't care if they were a OTCH and a CH, or a FC and CH, or whatever combination, a dog capable of 2 Champion Titles deserves more than just casual applause. This is not taking into consideration, the fact that Trekker is THE most Titled GSP!

What Dave and Trekker did, in itself, was AWSOME. There is no end to what has been accomplished by the Hustler dogs. It is an era that is coming to a close, unfortunatly:( They are of the most biddable, natural, intelligent dogs there is. My guy may be the very last to still be around:) very fortunatly for me...
