We have a NEW Dual Champion in our breed! Jaegerhof's Rocket Man completed his Dual Championship last weekend at the GSP Club of Las Cruces. He won the Open Gun Dog for a three point retrieving major. "Elton" is owned by Erin Karst and was bred by her and Arlene Walker. Congratulations to DUAL CHAMPION Jaegerhof's Rocket Man!!!

Terry left off the part about how he was the handler, making Elton the 20th Dual he's finished!

Congratulations!

Thanks to everyone for the congratulatory e-mails and posts.

Jean, yes he did. I think Elton knew that if he won he would get to go home. He put down one of the nicest performances I have seen him do. His first piece of birdwork was a minute off of the line. When we turned the corner around an earth tank there was a bird in the air. I went to the bush where the bird had come from and there Elton was on point. He then went on and pointed a couple of minutes later. I could not find a bird and released him for a relocation. After several minutes of trying to find birds he nailed three running quail. It was a VERY NICE piece of work. He then went on to have two more finds and one stop to flush. On both of his finds the birds flushed wild before I could get to him. It was really windy and the birds were really spooky.
I was especially happy with his ending. He was the only dog I saw in the stake that was "powering" it at the end of the brace.
His callback was a little "dicey" due to the wind but he handled that well also. It was a nice way to end his career.
