I'm fairly new here and haven't really posted anything yet, but I figure I'd introduce myself and my best friend, Hunter (S.T. II). We picked him up from Albany Airport on December 19, when he was 12 lbs, but boy, has he grown fast. He's also definitely a character, but given what I read here and elsewhere I guess that's the norm for the breed. In any event I just wanted to introduce you to him, and say hi myself.

You can see more pix of Hunter at highpeakspublishing.net/hunter-s-t-ii/

One crazy dog

Welcome to the forum. Hunter is adorable and looks so handsome in his red coat.

Welcome. Loved the pictures. Hunter sure is a good looking pup. Really like his coat. May I ask where you got it. I'm looking for a new one for my Lucy.

Thanks for the welcome and the kind comments, everyone!

I just got off the phone with the breeder (Mike), whose current run of pups are pretty much spoken for, but you can contact him via www.bonaskennels.com . If you do eventually decide to go with him and the litter you choose from has European parents, be aware it can take 2-3 months to get the dna paperwork straightened out with the AKC. That was the case with Hunter, who has an Italian mom and a Serbian dad.

Cheers,

Jan

I'm not sure if Mike actually came from Czechoslovakia (never asked him), but he's definitely from the old country. I do know he still deals with a number of established breeders on the other side of the pond though. That's how I ended up with my Hunter.
