Gorgeous! I hear you just got dumped on with more snow last night... It does look pretty but I am so ready for summer!

We are getting dumped on right now through this evening probably. The snow itself is tolerable, but we have the high winds today that cause the white outs and the hazardous driving. Fresh powder makes Bella a total spaz, so I've been enjoying what her go out for her potty outings and zoomie her way to her spot, and then zoomie her way back inside lol. I was just saying how I'm starting to crave Spring/Summer...but driving home the other night when I took this it was absolutely stunning. I could only capture a portion of how beautiful it was. It reminded me to enjoy it while it is here.

Yes, I agree it is the worst culprit (well, ice as a close second). My neighborhood's electrical system is horrible And goes out on just about any windy day. It just went out. Work cancelled for the day....no power to finish laundry...I guess we have to go outside and enjoy the fresh snow (fairly blocked from the wind in the woods).

Beautiful pictures! Yes, enjoy it especially for those of us who can't! :)

It's a totally different world down here. I just took pictures of leaves beginning to blossom on trees yesterday!

I can't even imagine things blooming. I won't be able to plant the majority of my garden until early June and even then will have to protect it from several freezes. I'm trying to keep a majesty palm alive inside right now that longs to be in sunshine lol. It's a battle I may be losing, as I lost two more fronds yesterday.

Gorgeous pictures, but it does look cold. I think I am happy with my TX winters and a trip or two skiing to a bit of snow. And looking at the pictures.

I really should make it a point to take one today...the complete opposite of the nice serene ones posted ;) that is...of I can manage to even get out of the neighborhood. Have yet to see the plows come through. Main roads must be keeping them busy today.

She might be waiting well into May in that case :) Actually, it seems like almost every year things are brown and nasty but mostly the white is just about gone come the first of April...and then BAM, Mather Nature says "Got Ya! Here's more snow...I was just kidding about that Spring thing". SO, after the usual, what I fondly call "April Fool's storm" it takes a few more weeks for things to melt back down. You think the world will never be green and beautiful again because everything is wet, muddy, and awful for several weeks. But, you stick out...only to be rewarded what I believe to be the most wonderful Summers you could possibly have. A little too short for my taste (I grew up Southern after all), sure. But, absolutely wonderful none the less.

So, I went out today and captured another "face" of winter :)
Exact same location as the above photo...a day's difference.

Bells had a blast in all the fresh powder today. Had to limit it a bit as if I put her jacket on it would have just been an ice sheet over her. She really enjoyed herself until she stopped for a bit and realized she was cold. As you can tell...it was warranted.

Phone pics:
This is how I walked her today lol

Playing with her buddy in all the fresh powder.

I love that you were able to capture the contrast! Sounds like a fun trek! :) Bella certainly looks cold! Love that picture and the one of the deer? What kind are those?

She had a blast, but I always know when she is fighting being cold because the minute she stops for anything her tail is tucked and she curves her back up and tucks her bum. We were only out for about 20 mins as opposed about an hour and a half. The deer are whitetail. They are just extra fluffy for Winter :) They look real mangy during Spring while they lose their winter coat and are rail thin from winter. I tend to only photograph them winter and summer as a result. I'm sure they appreciate me capturing them at their best lol

Thanks everyone. It's the wind that is making things horrid right now, the temps themselves are normal. We are in day two of the advisory. Looks a little more tolerable to trek about in today. Texasbelle I am a Nikon girl. I shoot with a D90 and sometimes a 300, and various lenses.
