I found this fun to watch -

http://youtu.be/7cWKh6H-wto

These were planted birds hence they didn't always flush or fly well when they did.

I am so impressed with the dog not trying to shake the thing off!!

I kinda wanted to do that with Sadie, but have had to settle for a hat-cam view. Nice video. Nicely done. Good to see the dog work from the dog's perspective! There are a couple of shots where you see footprints - makes me wonder if the dog is following the footprints to the bird. I had heard about such things - not saying that is what the dog is doing.

It is watching the dogs work that I thoroughly enjoy, and love. I could get by with just watching them work - if it weren't for all the training, and the joy they exhibit when they pick-up, and deilver to hand a bird that they pointed, and you shot. - Todd

I saw that too - the birds were planted and really poor flyers too but I liked watching it from the dog's view. I know I could never strap a camera on Bugsy's head.
No way it would be on it for long, no matter what you did to secure it LOL
I thought the dog was insanely tolerant

One thought I had was to attach it to a Trakker like at "www.gundogsupply.com/heavy-cover-dog-trakker.html#". Sadie might tolerate that to a level.

HA! So am I! I don't have $350 to spend on an experiment currently.

Awesome. I'm a sucker for anything cool and camera related. Loved watching the nose hard at work up close and personal. Kudos to that dog, of all the stuff Bella tolerates...I doubt she'd leave that camera unpawed.

I love those videos and all, but I think a camera on the dog's head is perhaps a bit too much for hunting. I like to leave it at a shock collar.

LOL lighten up I am sure they aren't out hunting with it on - this was clearly a training exercise and just a bit of fun

I agree with DuckFever - it looked a little uncomfortable on the dog. I did, however, enjoy the video, and if the dog is willing to go with it, hey, who am I to complain! My luck, I would lose the whole contraption and be upset at myself. I am scared enough that I will lose my Hat-Cam (at least the Camera) when I wear it!

kpwlee, I wasn't saying that person is wrong for doing that, I was simply saying that I, personally, think that is a little much for a dog. Just expressing an opinion. Then again, like tgatto said if the dog really doesn't care then who am I to say anything.
