Is an egg good for there costs.. Cooked or uncooked.

yes eggs are good for dogs - some people say the egg white needs to be cooked others say no. I know one person who used to freeze an uncooked egg and let her weim pup play and eat it. Like most things, especially for a pup I would give a little and see.

I feed raw eggs, including the shell occassionally. I was once told they shouldn't be fed raw but when I asked why I was told because of salmonella. As much as I don't want to make my dogs ill I someties use raw eggs in food so they're no more at risk than me. I just make sure they've not been sat on the shelf too long.

Always thought it was fun to give my adopted adult dogs their 1st raw eggs & watch. Considering the nasty things they've all tried to scarf (despite my efforts to convince them to Drop It/Leave It) raw eggs out of my fridge don't really worry me. None have known exactly what to do w/an egg, but were interested enough to take them from my hand. It can be comical observing them with their treasure. Seldom takes long for them to puncture the shell & begin to figure it out.

We give our dogs raw egg from time to time. I tried scrambled eggs with Windsor but he puked those up.
