We're still in the Czech Republic but not for much longer. Packers are in on 20th Dec to pack air shipment and then back again on 27th and 28th to clear the house. We are staying in a friends house from 28th Dec to 2nd Jan and then in a hotel from the 2nd Jan until we fly to Toronto on 5th. Well, actually we fly to the UK on the 5th then to Toronto on 6th. Leos and Kassi will stay in kennels from 2nd Jan and will fly to Frankfurt on 7th and then out to Toronto on 8th.

I'm a little concerned about Kassi's travel sickness. It's getting better. If we stick to the highway she's fine but bumpy bendy roads still make her throw up. I am hoping that she will be OK in the darkness of the plane and the fact that once up in the air it's quite smooth.

She has taken to eating Leos' poop. Not her own, just his. I know alot of puppies eat poop but what vitamin is it that they are supposed to be lacking in if they eat poop?

She's finally made the switch to Acana fully and now eating it dry. Had to switch her more gradually than normal. She's still on Puppy and Junior (she's 6 months now) but once we're settled in in Canada i'll switch her to adult. Last thing I want is her having an upset tummy during this period.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.......2 legged and 4 :-)

Hope the move goes well Kerry! We pass by your new home often on our way to visit my sister, so next time we are by that way (possibly April) we will let you know and we can have an international GSP reunion :)

I don't know what to tell you for the sickness. Just cross your fingers and hope, I would say. Maybe your vet can recommend something.

You have some busy days ahead of you. Hoping all goes well for you and the furkids with both the packing and the travel. I have a feeling you'll be exhausted by the time it's over and you're settled.

Wish I could help with the poop and travel sickness, but unfortunately, I haven't a clue for either situation.

A vet years ago suggested giving my dog, small Yorkie, a half of a dramamine for travel because she got so sick. He said not only would it help with the motion sickness but it would help her sleep through the bulk of the trip. This was years and years ago and I'm not sure if this is still recommended or frowned upon. A friend recently had to fly to Japan and was very worried about her dogs fairing the trip. I know her vet told her he could prescribe a low dose sedative to administer before the trip. I think she ended up deciding she would rather not (but neither dog has motion sickness issues), but it was an option.

Good luck with everything!

Thanks everyone.

The vet says she's too young for montion sickness medication and it would be dangerous to give her a light sedation because if she is sick she needs to be awake enough to actually be sick and not choke on it.

I guess i'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.
