So it has been a while since I have posted here, but I just wanted to share some pictures of Oakley. She is now 8 months old and really coming into her own. I have never seen another dog that wants to please as much as her. She's still a little on the small side, but she sure has grown up a lot in the last couple of months. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures.

She is a pretty girl! She looks to be about the same height as Bella, maybe a little leaner. Bella was the runt of her litter and I hear often "oh she is small for a GSP". Which, I don't agree with as Bella ranges average for female GSPs at about 50 lb (she ranges 48-51). She has surpassed both of her sisters in height, weight, and muscle mass from what her breeder tells me. At 8 months old she probably weighed about 46 pounds, and around 10 months started holding steady at 48. During her heat cycle, she lost some weight and muscle due to less off lead activity. I think Oakley probably has a little more filling out to do before she plateaus.

Yeah she is definitely getting a lot bigger and taller, but she still has some filling out to do. Still a little on the lean side, but not too bad. She's healthy and thats all that matters. I haven't weighed her in a couple of months though, so I have no idea what her weight is right now. I'll have to go home and weigh her today cause I would be interested to see how much she weighs now. Thanks for looking!

Oakley is adorable. Love these pictures. My Lucy is on the small side. She stays right around 48lbs.

They sure know how to take advantage of those sunny spots, don't they? My Chelsea has always been around 49 pounds too but packed with muscle. I think its a very desirable size!

I agree with vnrose. I used to think I wanted a big ole dog. Bella's weight is significantly muscle. Now that we have Bella, I think she is absolutely the perfect size. I really can't imagine having one bigger.
