Took Rowdy out for a pheasant/quail/chukar hunt today.  He did very well after busting a hen pheasant.  Never got into another pheasant, although Rowdy got birdy a few times.  Then went to hunt some chukar on a surrounding hillside.  Yielded nothing, although that wasn't the best of chukar spots.  Walked down the butte and got into a draw with some extremely good looking quail cover and started walking a creek.  Got into a pretty good sized covey of quail and ended up shooting 3 quail.  Rowdy retrieved all but two and didn't see the other one fall.  Pictures coming when they get sent to me.

Sounds good ! Great stuff For us here in NY one more week until the end of the deer seasons complete & we will be back out there. This deer season weather would have been awesome for bird hunting. A very nice year weather wise here in upstate NY !
