Hi Everyone,

I'm a new member here, although I have been crusing the forums eversince we got our GSP, Mo, in September.  She is almost ten months old and we have been doing basic training with her and she catches on very well.  The one thing that I have had trouble with is getting her to fetch.  She loves to chase anything I throw, but more often then not will circle past it and come running back to me.  I would appreciate any advice outthere.

Thanks,

Bill

Hi and welcome.

teach her to hold. there is a lot of info if you google and on youtube.

Did I mention you need to post a picture?

You need to get her excited about going after the the retrieve object. Hold her and toss and then work to rev her up about going after it, then release her. If that doesn't work, race her to the object and see if you can beat her if you do make a big deal about you have it and she doesn't.

I second pixie's request for some pictures.

Mo is a very handsome boy. Looks like he had some fun in the snow.
