Has anyone tried this on GSP on this site? Im watching the informercial and Don has a GSP himself and ive seen this dog act on the show... but im curious to know, does it really work? I google the product and got pros and cons. but can you really get your dog from wild, crazy to calm in 15 mins? whats your thought? If I dont find Remington by the end of this year.. the breeder I got Remy from, I'll probably get another GSP.

I tried it. It's basically a plastic prong collar. You correct with the collar that they are supposed to wear non-stop for a few weeks. We didn' t use it that long because the training lines are hard to hold onto. He suggests goves. As with any training it recommends giving the command once and follow through with the leash correction. It doesn't calm them down.

Does it teach them to listen to commands and be more effective than a dog dis obeying your commands? is it that effective? ive seen the collar they use for this... ive gone to Runnings Farm and Fleet and they have metal ones with 3 inch spikes that are dull ends but i was shocked... so inhumane that someone invented THIS metal collar.

The collar is just a tool. It is only effective if you follow through everytime.

I actually downloaded the videos and watched them because i seen he had a gsp. in 90% of the video he is useing a regular choke chain instead of his command collar. His command collar is basically a plastic prong collar i believe. His training is nothing new..old school choke chain training...tell the dog to do something if he doesnt do it correct him
