Picked up my 11 month old boy yesterday from 2 months of training. We sure missed him. I think my 9 year old female missed him more. They've been non stop playing. What fun it is to watch a young pup transform into a gundog. I had him at a trainer for a month without me there,  and then the second month I went weekly to transfer his training to me. What a good boy. He is now steady to wing and shot. He also retrieves to hand. So satisfying to see these dogs mature. Thought I would get on here and brag a little.

No brag is complete w/o pictures.

Keep up the training for hunting season and have fun.

The first 3 pics are my boy Kody (11 months),  This last pic is my 9 year old Sadie. Can't seem to get trhis pic any bigger. I'll post some pics of Sadie hunting pheasants when I get this picture posting figured out. I'm very happy to have them back together,  now the my training starts.

Oh man...what a field!!!! Much to my liking. Nice looking dogs, too.

The field my boy is in is out at a pheasant club here in Northern California. Blackpoint is the name of it. I only have my dogs training done here. The trainer is very good,  he has trained many NFC dogs over the years. I prefer to run my dogs when hunting,  in more open space and also because of wild pheasants. My girl loves to run big and the boy is showing the same wheels. My girl is from DC Wendig Haus' Forgon Conclushn CD MH (Sire) and Wendig Haus' Major Impact CD MH. Both of these dogs were littermates of DC Stradavarius Barque and Evridki Von Hainholz UD JH. My boy is from NGDC FC AFC CC Papion,  he was the 2006 National Gun Dog Champion,  and CC Siena Sunrise. I feel very lucky to have both of these dogs.
