Hattrick, I have a post under General Discussion called "Crazy 6 Month Old" There is A LOT of good advice from some of the most seasoned GSP owners. How long, what to train, and exercise with young pups. Good Luck!

Hi and welcome.
I would add 'come'. You may want to take her off the table tho. Way to much pressure.
Maybe you could just use whoa in and out of the crate,at feeding times and doorways? It should be short only about 1 -3 seconds asking more than that is a lot of pressure.
I would not consider formalizing commands at this age, even for a mature dog 6 months would be a bit early. Most start to formalize commands around 8 months.
FWIW, just about any pup, and I say 'just about' b/c Charlie has rewrote the book, lol, will learn to whoa, sit, heel and come pretty easily b/c they have not hit their independent stage yet which is about 4-6 months old.
So, while you think you have a highly intelligent, highly trainable, highly cooperative puppy, and you do at this age, come a few months and you will wonder who stole your puppy and replaced it with the devil.

Thanks, for the replys, i`ll check out the other site. I`m really new to this, so all the advice is welcome. I just don`t want to ruin a good dog trying to too much.           THANKS!

You can also do the down. Just keep any training you do short and fun. Make it a game and your pup won't even know he is learning.

Will she be a hunting dog?

The amount of training, the type of training and pressure will be different if she is.
