Yes Pixie it went right over your head.

What I am saying is even a 1/2 mile collar is going to get half in the varying cover and terrain of the field. The average dog runs what 200 yards at the farthest? say 75-200 for the average foot hunter. So now your dog finds a rabbit or deer when your not looking or cant see him. Doesnt take them long to be chasing those critters to the horizon. This is why you buy the longest reaching collar you can afford. Because you cant always be watching your dog.
