I have a pup coming out of Ok. in April. I would like some help getting a trainer you can trust and do a great job.  I'm in Houston, my ranch is an hour south of San Antonio.  I will go where the best is as long as it is in Texas. I know there has got to be some good one in this state. Thanks, Rip

The testimonials sure do sound great. And the price for training is outrageous.
Wonder why he doesn't field test his dogs in a venue before breeding and I didn't notice any health clearances on any of his dogs. He has titled dogs in the pedigrees about 3 gen back but none up close.
It makes me feel better as a buyer to know that someone other then the breeder/ trainer asessed the dogs.
While experience can be a good thing it doesn't necessarily qualify a breeder or trainer.
tarheel5,
is he the best you have found in Kansas? or the best you have found anywhere?
FWIW, it ain't hard to produce a GSP that points and likes to retrieve. In fact, I'd say it's pretty much a no brainer.
All in all, I'd be more inclined to promote this breeder/trainer if I saw some titles, bench or field or both, and health clearances.
Just my 2 bits worth,
Francine

Well Pixie I am not trying to get anything started but I know what I have and there is no better things than a picture is worth a thousand words. Is there not a saying you get what you pay for in life and dogs. I just offered up someone a person I have first hand knowledge in. Your welcome to your thoughts just don't critque mine. I forgot that champions  lineage automatically creates great hunting dogs.

I believe this quote I wrote paints a picture of a thousand words.
I believe, also, that you don't always get what you pay for in life or dogs.

Try Bonnie Sue Porter at Cibolo Creek Kennels.  She is in Cibolo, TX. She doesn't have a website, but if you Google Cibolo Creek Kennels you can get a phone number.
