You need to get control over the pup, which you already know.  First, when in the house you need to confine the dog to the same area where you are so you can correct behaviour.  If you can't be with the dog he needs to  be in his crate.  As far as peeing, after they, play or have been asleep, or every couple of hours they have to go out.  Anticipating your dogs needs will help with the potty training.  Praise him when he goes outside.  If he has an accident inside grab him and put him out, do not scold him. If you have to, keep him leashed to you while inside.

Also, lots of exercise.  Sounds like he may not be getting enough.

For biting grab him gently under the chin and press down on him tongue with you thumb.  He will soon learn biting is a no no.

If you aren't training him in obedience start.  Enter him and you in a class.  This will teach him manners and engage his brain, both of which should help.

Finally remember he is a puppy.  Some puppies are more rambunctuous than others.  Stay persistent and consistent.

Good Luck!!

Boy, I don't envy you! Been there, done that!
Having a 1 year old child and a puppy was probably not the best idea. Your baby isn't even a toddler yet and requires an enormous amount of attention, the puppy only divides this and I can guess that you 1 year old gets most of your attention. This is why you have such a bold, defiant puppy. He knows you are distracted and he knows you are only going to loose your temper and this puts him higher up on the pack list. A crying baby and a dog chewing toys is enough to put anyone in the crazy house. Not to mention you have to be low on sleep.
The puppy needs to have dicipline and structure. Walk him every 2 hours at night maybe every 4 hours. Do not wait for him to give a sign, just take him out.Withhold water after about 7pm until morning. Don't feed after 5 pm. Make sure the puppy is not hungry. Hungry puppies can be distructive. The puppy should be learning to sit by now. The more you use the command the better he will know it.Make sure he understands what you are teaching.Understanding does not equate to doing, that is another lesson after about 1 week of understanding.
You must find the time to teach the puppy or you will have a monster that gets bigger and bigger every month and stronger.
