Hey everyone just curious...everyonce in awhile Remi will have the odd accident. Most of the time it's when he really has to go. But at 7mths shouldn't he be able to hold it better? Or is this a fairly normal thing.
Also if anyone has any tips for the ever popular jumping up problem I would appreciate it. He's pretty good but sometimes he'll jump around in and out back and forth and then jump into someone. (This is when he running free outside) So I generally try to make sure that he isn't loose when people arrive, but that doesn't fix it.
Thanks ya'll
It all depends on the context. How long has it been since she "went", how much has she had to drink, how active has she been, how excited is she when it happens. At seven months old a puppy still doesn't have just a heck of a lot of bladder control. Remember making dogs, particularly bitches "hold it" for long periods of time leads to a lot of urinary tract infections, and can actually have the end result of causing urinary incontinence. CR
When Rudy goes outside and there is somethind interesting (squirrel, dog next door, etc.) he forgets to go potty. I let him inside and 15-20 minutes later he is at the door again wanting to go back out. A few he had to go so bad that he dribbled while I was walking to the door to let him back outside. I'm wondering if you see her go potty when he is outside because mabe he is too busy and doesn't actually go potty.
I had a lot of difficulty house training my first GSP; what we discovered was it was as much our schedule as it was the dog. Keep at it still a puppy at 7 months.
