Well, the dog catchers have told me a GSP can out run a coyote any day. So a coyote would not go after him, unless perhaps, if he was sick and down. They prefer small prey. They will hang in a pack, and send their scout in first, while the others wait for the coast to be clear. Actually my one dog catcher friend who is lisc to chemically imobilize, said it would be EASIER to find his exact whereabouts in the fall or early winter with light snow for tracking. But, I too, would prefer to bring him in before winter.
I showed Jimmy boy last night and started recall training. He knows this stuff, he's heard the commands before. Hunt comands. In only one block he was coming faster to me, heeling to my left nicely, and nose to ground with "find bird" command. Really nice field pointer. Just needs a bond and direction and dilligence. Neuter day is tomorrow! He can probably go home Monday night, and Willie will probably be home Sunday; have two lookers at her. So, gonna be a busy weekend.

OUT WITH ALL OF THEM! tehe....Nimda went home Friday, the TN two, Amber and Angel went to one home Monday! Jimmy boy goes home tonight. Gonna be a whole turn around pretty quick again. Jim decided to lick his neuter wound wide open Sat, so he's got the cone head on now, and is leaving with it on! He's on antibiotics and getting the peroxide and powder treatment for the slow heal now. I could not crate him with the cone on his head, so he's out probably writing his name in pee all over my house! UGH, but beats trying to jam him and cone head in a crate, and what if he got stuck, and broke his neck trying to free himself? Our trainer lost his rescue GSP Chase this weekend to cancer, just about like Tracker! Noticed funny breathing, chest Xray showed something pushing at his heart, fluid on his lungs. They put him on antibiotics and released him, but Chase had other plans, and died with Brian present Sunday AM. Vet said it was a tumor near his heart. Poor Brian. We all loved Chase. He was not even five years old I bet. Chase is the model for our new logo on website. What is with all this cancer in dogs lately? I'll never get it. Stopped to pay my bill at the vet over lunch, and hit the store for BIRTHDAY PARTY MARGARITAS! YUP, that time again, on my deck this coming Sat. The big 5-0. |

| Happy Birthday Big 50. Just one more day on the calendar and you're still a relatively young pup. Just remember getting another year older certainly beats the alternative. |

Thanks everyone! Today is my mom's 70th bday, I was her 20th birthday present, two days late! She looks great; says it's good living and GREAT sex, tehe. My mother, ugh..... Well, Scotty could go home tonight, he's got a home visit to make. Have lookers at all the rest of the present dogs, so there will be a turn around here pretty quick. I miss Jimmy boy bad. Miracle does too. Maggie gets her hinder stitchery out Monday night. I gotta start thinking about food for Sat night. And I got October's candle fundraiser stuff yesterday, with samples from a new company...we gotta try this one out! Busy, busy... |

| Was perfect weather, perfect guests, perfect drinks and food, thank you all! Another milestone I guess! Got Jimmy boy, my lemon/white pointer coming back already tonight, his adopter said nothing wrong with the dog, he blames himself, thinking he was ready for the responsibility, but he's not. So Jimbobaloobob is moving back in tonight! Miracle will be happy to see him again I'm sure. Maggie got her anal gland stitchery removed last night, all is fine, cept for those flying rabbit turds every now and then. That should pass too, hopefully. Got two possibly coming in this weekend, one male, one female (if I can find foster for the female/cat sharp). We have rain date for show this Sunday, so I'm working on what fosters can bring what dogs now. I was supposed to have the day off, but now that Jimbob is coming back, I better show him. I saw on the news there was a shooting this AM near my house, one woman dead, one man down and in hsp. Suspect missing. So the police dogs were sniffing around on TV. Sheesh! |

I caught advertising for Sunday's show on the local news this AM. It's a fundraiser for Milwaukee Co Sheriff's K-9 unit. They will have working dogs there, for center stage demo's. It's outside, in a pet cemetary. It's really a nice place. Jimmy boy got staples in his neuter wound yesterday AM and more antibiotics. Head cone back on. I left him at home with the girls today. Got hate email from my sister, cuz I told her if I can't find a sitter for Jim next weekend, I have to cancel my trip up to her, versus bringing two dogs with me. She is mad. She's got all the relatives lined up and food. Lovely. I figured it would be better then bringing a cat killer with, since they are cat people. Guess I was wrong. This weekend we are pulling two from Wi shelters. So I have running Sat AM to get supplies to foster homes. Then home to pack my van for the show. And get some work at home done, cuz Sunday is shot. That's about all for now.

Quick bring you up to speed... pulled in two last weekend, nice male, and very fast female runner, very prey driven, hyper energy! Working on a female for this weekend. And finally Scout goes home to Grand Rapids MI this weekend, he's catching a ride with Uncle Jared on the ferry! Have so many potential adopters, I can't keep up, had to enlist our VP to help me sort and handle it all right now. Our machine tool show at work is only three weeks away, I have tons to pay attention to. We had a show last Sunday, beautiful weather, BIG crowds, lotta lookers and an invite to show dogs at Petco on south side of Milwaukee. We gotta get on that or we'll be sitting on a bunch of dogs come winter! This weekend, taking a couple days off, to head north to see my sister, my Eau Claire Wi volunteers and my high school friend Sonja, then back home. Jimmy's going to stay with adopters of ours, Maggie is going to daddy's house and Miracle is coming with me. NO new sightings or action on Everett. That's it for now. |

I'm about ready to explode here; got the following from Evie's mom:
As a matter of fact, a lady called yesterday, and said she lives off of Sheridan Road in Mount Pleasant and saw a dog fitting Ev's description at 11am. She has seen him other times too. She said he looks well.
My mom and Joe were there a couple of weeks ago. I'm off tomorrow since my temp job ended today, so I might has well get my ass over there and stake him out. Got nothing else to do.
----------------
Here is why we have not apprehended Everett yet! If I do not get sighting calls, no one contacts Josh! How can he possibly hunt down this dog, if he does not have up to the minute info? He can't. Same thing happened when the dog was in Kenosha Co. The adopters seem to think they are "bothering" people to share information but without the information, I do not know that there have been sightings, I do not know that anyone is doing anything! In the mean time the dog has been out there for almost a year, and he's not getting any closer to being apprehended, because NO ONE IS DOING A DAMNED THING! I wanna scream! I am only one person, I can only be in so many places at one time! I need this adopter to help find their dog! I cannot do this all myself! JEEEEZZZZZ. So there you have it, we ARE getting sightings, but I do not hear about them, until way late. I might as well write this dog off, cuz if I'm the only one doing anything to find him, it's never gonna happen. So frustrating!

Was perfect traveling weather over last weekend, got to see my sister, her family, some of my volunteers and adopters up north, and my friend from high school! Miracle was an excellent travelor. When you put her with Jane's four 4-mo old GSP puppies, she is about their size. Was hard to pick her out of the puppy crowd, except for her long, curly tail! tehe. Jimmy missed me I guess, they said he looked at the door and whined for me for a while after I left him at doggie sitter. I may just have to keep that lemonhead! Had to repo a newly adopted dog this AM. The guy first emailed that he and his partner were not exactly prepared to spend that much money??? on a rescue dog? Then he emailed he had him tied up out in the yard while he works! NO way, that is complete violation of my adoption contract, he lied to me that the dog would be inside during the day. So I had it out with him last night and moved into action to get my closest volunteer in to get Max. So I have him back now. He goes to Aunt Eve's and Luna's house tonight. Let the work begin again! Trying to get together volunteers and adopters for another recall training session this weekend. And knowing our adoption days are few with winter coming, it's a mad scramble to show dogs at as many functions as we can now. So I have a Pet Feed store lined up for Sat, Petco two weekends after that, then the big one, at Washington Co Pet Expo 10/21. Have home visits happening again this weekend, so GET on home all you little doggies! Working on a ride for Freeport Tabitha for this weekend...never ends! She will be our 47th dog in this year! |

I realy like the site Lisa. That pic of one of the new dogs Willie she is adorable with the pink bows very cute. Miracle's corner is my favorite to see her now you would never know where she came from. All the new dogs look good, they probably will get adopted fast. |

Thank you! It's always a work in progress! Well, Evie's mom is supposed to be in Racine networking today. So we'll see....
IL Bird Dog Rescue hosted a reunion for the AR Boat Mtn Dogs this past weekend: http://ibrhobbitreu nion.blogspot. com/ None of the WI Boat Mountain dogs attended. But the one labeled Ashley is probably Miracle's mother.
Got Max home last night, introduced to my pack, then a quick double scrub in the tub and dinner before Eve and Luna came for him. I seriously wonder if Max is 'Punch Drunk". I dunno just his short attention span, and sorta the way he bobs his head. Jim groweled at him when he was hogging me last night, so guess Jimmyback staked his claim to me. I think he will have to stay.
Gotta get...

Here is our first witch of the season! It's Connie, who we got from Spooner WI Shelter. Our hunt trainer discovered this past weekend, Connie is a started hunter, ecollar trained, bird crazy...you'd never know it by looking at her all dolled up hey?
So this week and next, I'm swamped with my machine tool show at work. But Diesel goes home this weekend, and Wilhelmina had a repeat adopter drive down for her today, I hope that works.
So, we have three dogs available for adoption now, and that is all! Whoohhaaaa. I'm starting to look at which of our neighboring states need help, since WI is clean now. Then again, we are pretty brokola right now, so I'm not in any rush.
If I don't get here for the next couple weeks, bare with me, it's SHOW TIME for work, and since they pay my bills, they come first. Chao!

| What a beautiful dog. My dog will not wear a costume. She will carry it around but that is as good as it gets. I'll bet she will find a home fast. Now if we can just hear that Everett is home all will be well. |
