I lost my 11yo GSP the day after Thanksgiving and she is dearly missed. Does anyone have or know of an adult GSP whose owner cannot take care of him/her or perhaps passed away? I am seeking an affectionate GSP companion, house & crate trained, used to being indoors, calm temperment and friendly with other dogs for neighborhood playdates. I live in Southern California and am willing to travel within 50 miles or so of Riverside and San Bernardino county areas. You can e-mail me at eriam63@aol.com .

I am very sorry about your loss, losing a canine companion is a terrible thing. You could probably find an adult GSP quite easily through a GSP Rescue. Thank you for your kind words. I am in touch with our local GSP rescue organization and I want to access as many resources availalbe. Again, thanks much...it helps to have empathy and support!

I lost one last year, my consdolences. I've had good luck finding shorthairs with petfinder.com
