I ran my two dogs in San Antonio this week end and placed them in both stakes thay were intered.It was my males first gun dog stakes so I was  hoping he could just make it around and did he ever.In open gun dog my male took first and my female took second.In Am gun dog my male took second and the female took third.It was a good week end!

I'm not familiar with the terminology- what do you mean you were hoping your dog would make it around?

Congrats! I got email from Pat Dunn about her boy, Sly, getting third, but she didn't tell me who else did what. I know you guys are proud.

What I meant by making it around is not getting picked up.If your dog makes a mistake its over for your run.If you make it around clean you have a change of getting in the call back for retrieve.

Your horn deserves to be tooted long and loud so enjoy the moment. In a few years you might realize we really aren't kidding when we tell you how special those two young dogs are.
