Dog show question...  I know it takes about 3 weeks for a conformation CH certificate to arrive, after the points are met, so I have at least 2 more weeks to go.  Until I receive the certificate, I'm restricted to showing in regular class events, correct?  Just curious, as I was already entered in another local show that's this weekend, at the time my dog's 2nd major was made.  Thanks.  Denise

No You can move your dog up to Best of Breed immediately after the finish...just go to the super and complete a form to do that. At most shows, it must be done at least a half hour prior to the start of the show (the following morning) which is why folks make a beeline for the super's desk the day their dog finishes. If you are entered in successive weekends as a class dog, you can also make those changes and "bump them up" at the same time. Also, if you want to confirm the points, they can be checked online with AKC at the "store" under points progression. (scroll down to the bottom of the page for that).

Have fun and kick butt in breed!

Thanks!

It isn't recorded on the AKC site yet, as it was just last weekend.  AKC show's that the last recorded events so far for them, are April 20th.  My dog's final major is recorded on the superintendant's show results website, but not AKC's yet.

Just as Phyllis said, you can bump her up as soon as, by your records, your dog has finished. The AKC is about 3 weeks behind in their record keeping. Congratulations on finishing your pup. Nice job! And good luck in the breed ring.
