For some reason my youngest daughter decided she wanted to try pheasant hunting this year. I set a hunt up for Saturday. Guess what, snowed Friday and Saturday was the coldest day of this winter here in Wisconsin. We went anyway. A friend and his daughter accompanied us. Dogs did good, have some things to work on this off season. Daughter got to shoot a couple of birds also. She has shot clay targets before so not entirely new to the shotgun. I know this is very old, but nice photos and even nicer family. I might put Rowdy on some quail/chukar in a preserve before the season, to get experience before seeing wild birds.

The worst day of hunting is better than the best day at work.
