Went out east a bit to let the dog run in the sagebrush and potentially get a rabbit or two. We were successful on both counts and I got a good retrieve of Rowdy's first rabbit. I was only going to shoot rabbits he pointed or that I flushed when he didn't know they were there. Basically I wasn't going to shoot a rabbit he ran. This rabbit I flushed when he was up ahead of me and shot it. Rowdy came running when he heard the shot, caught scent of the rabbit and made the retrieves

 He was panting from the heat.  It was a balmy 55 degrees, but yes I think he was mighty happy as well.
