Found an old picture of Maybrie practicing!  I think she was about 3 months old.....before she got hurt!  Such a pretty girl!

BTW I got to see Maybrie's dad again this weekend. You can't miss him as Maybrie inherited her unusual markings from her dad. He is such a sweet male and your breeder saved him from a bad situation and has worked wonders with him and now has him showing. If your two pups are as sweet as their dad, well you have some awesome dogs. You are also in good hands with your breeder. I will be sure and tell her we met via this forum when I see her in San Antonio.

OHHH!!   I know!! I LOVE Hegan!!  He is SO sweet, and just absolutely GORGEOUS!   We wanted to take him home as well, but she  said that she promised her son that  Hegan was there to stay!!  Hegan looks like Maybrie, but has the temperament of Kaido.   Now you know why we were thrown for such a loop when Kaido had his juvenile delenquent moment!   It just didn't fit...Hence, predatory drift was the ONLY explanation left.   Hegan jumped in the back of my Venza a couple of weeks ago when we last visited.....I almost got away with him!  Lol!   I have withdrawals from Hegan sometimes, so my daughter and I go visit!   He leans into us for a big cuddle, and just sits there!     Goose (now Kaido) leans into us the SAME way!  He has to have some part of his body touching us if we are sitting down!  Maybrie is the same way, though slightly less cuddly, more independent.

I met another littermate  to our pups at the classes she held, and she is absolutely the most beautiful little thing ever!   She knows NO STRANGER!  During class, she kept crawling into bed with Kaido for a cuddle!  (It was cold outside and some of the GSP's were shivering, so we had mats and blankets for them.  Kaido would look at me like, "MOM do you see this?"   He just let her come on over to his bed!      This little gal  prances around just  like an Arabian horse!  Absolutely the sweetest thing you've ever seen!   You will probably be seeing her in a show one of these days. I know my breeder is encouraging her new owner to show, and helping her get her pup ready.  The pups name is Gretchen.    As far as sweetness,  My breeder did tell me that she's never had a litter as sweet as these pups.   I've seen plenty of pics of other GSP cuddlers, so I'm  not convinced of that!  I'm quite sure there are some other sweet ones out there too!   She just announced a new litter of 11 pups!   I don't know if they are already spoken for, but I know I'm going to go play with some of them before they leave for new owners!   I missed the puppy stages of my two, so I just have to experience with my own eyes and arms, up close!what these little pups are like!   I would LOVE to have a house full of GSP's!   Yes......my breeder does an excellent job with rescues!!     She told me all about rescuing like 12 GSP's from a really, really bad situation.    Hegan was one of them.  He is one lucky boy to have his new home, and yes, please let my breeder know you and I met on the forum!  Send her my extreme kudos!  Lol!

Texas Belle,

Is the San Antonio dog show this weekend open to the public?  I looked online and couldn't find anything.  I saw something for Friday 22, but it said "closed."   I am not working this weekend, and would love to come out.  My husband is taking his CHL class.   Is it on Fri,Sat,and Sun. , and is it as big as the dog show at Reliant?   Just curious.   Can we bring our dogs in like we could at Reliant?  I probably wouldn't bring Kaido, but don't want to leave Maybrie all day by herself.   When are the GSP's showing?    Just let me know. Thanks!

If the show is open what is the address?  I could text my breeder of course, but you and I are already on the subject!  Lol!

The San Antonio shows are 6 - 10 March. They are open to the public. It is at Joe & Harry Freeman Coliseum in the Exposition Center at 3201 E. Houston Street. It is a big show, but not as big as Reliant. Not sure if they allow dogs like Reliant, but if we meet and go in together I could get Maybrie in. I stay at the KOA with my fifth wheel and they have cute cabins for rent if you are staying overnight. I am only going to show on Sat and Sun.

Ohhh....Yeah!  I'm off on the 9th and 10th...but I work the night of the 8th.  I think it would work best for me to come on the 10th...a day to turn my schedule around!    Are there any GSP things going on on the 10th?       Regarding getting Maybrie in, that would be great!  It would be good walking therapy for her!   When we meet up, you will recognize me by the dog!  Lol!

I will definitely be there on the 10th as I am showing on Sat and Sun only. I don't have times yet as the entries close today, but usually shorthairs show in the early morning around 8 or 9 am. Sometimes they are later though, so will just have to wait and see what the entries are and the show times.
