I figured as much, but it still made me laugh with the picture of me walking in the field singing. Oh and it would more likely be something from the 70s or 80s. Lady GaGa I can't even get that into my brain. LOL

OK, picked up a TriTronics unit.  I understand how to use it for recall.  How would you recommend that it be used to define boundaries/distance into the woods/wooded area?  She will return now if I call, use the whistle, or the electronic buzzer.

IMO your dog will need to understand the range you desire prior to attempting to reinforce it with an ecollar. I taught my dog a "stay close" command, and also to fall back at one whistle. As a puppy and younger dog we hiked with her on a long lead until I felt confident she would stay with me. As a result, she naturally kept about a 30 foot radius on her own once the lead was no longer present. She ranges a bit more now with age and confidence but I don't mind as long as I know where she is and she continues to check in. If she ranged too far I would call her in but give her a release before she got all the way to me (this was how she picked up to fall back and also associated it with the "stay close" command), and tell her to stay close. I also have her heel with me at times to take a little break. Sometimes we hike very narrow trails and I give her a "behind" command in which she is stay behind me and not attempting to walk my side or dart past me.
