One of Senior Rocky's favorite things to do is sniff out his tennis balls in these leaves. Rocky still enjoys all the "hunt it up games hiding his pheasant scent dummys in places for him to find. Rocky still gets in our face when he wants to play proving GSPs keep their puppy spirit their entire lives.

We often take Senior Rocky out to woody deerland open land to let him run off off his GSP energy. Rocky still zoomy, zoomy

Rocky loves the mowed trails plus enjoys making many stops to sniff out critters.

Here is my Maple.  She is 8 and will be turning 9 in January.  She has not showed any evidence of slowing down as she is still running full height and speed at agility.  But as you can see in the second photo, she loves to be under the covers.

Senior Germanshorthaired Pointers ROCK!!!

Velvet turned 8 in August.  She has more energy than 3 year old Windsor.  In this pic Windsor originally had the ball and she stole it from him - does it all the time, she sneaks in and filches it right out of his mouth and she will run non stop.  She passes out real good at night though!

Velvet is quite a girl!! Wonderful to hear she has more energy than Windsor her 3 year old Brother!! Hats off to her 8 high flying GSP Energy years. She looks Great

Here is 12 year old Chelsea cooling off after a walk on a hot day.  she sends her greetings to her fellow seniors  "I'm not getting older, I'm getting better (although that is almost impossible, since I've always been pretty perfect!)."

Greatest Senior Honor to you Chelsea So far you Reign the Oldest of our most honored Senior GSPs!  Double Hats off to you!! Of course you do not look your age at all. You are real living truth proving German Shorthaired Pointers keep their puppy spirit their entire life.!!

Another of Velvet I took today - very hard to get her to sit still so I said the magic word...... "Cookie" and she went to the door and stood still for a quick second

No work for us today - YAY!  First time they shut down because of a weather event in over 20 years.  So we got up, went to the diner for some good breakfast and drove down to the beach - already starting to flood, one house was already under water.  Not a lot of rain yet but a bad storm surge and it's gonna get worse.  Glad we don't live on the beach!  Here's another one of Velvet yesterday:

Just read on Kim's( Velvet and Windsor's Mom )Facebook, They had a tough last night, No power but they have a generator to keep the refigerator operating.They are safe. That is all I know. I don't know if Kim can get on this forum with no power. It might be hard?? I am still continuing my prayers for all those who are effected by this Super Storm.  Be safe.

Rocky and I have a personal Love for Mix Seniors as Rocky joined our house With our Senior Mix cross breed Snicker girl who was a chocolate Chese/ Lab . She was 10 yrs old when Rocky arrived from the GSP rescue at 12 months. Rocky is now 10yrs old. How time flies.

Love your deep black fur with white chested belly. I can see you chase of the squirrel, rabbits and even point big birdies that visit your back yard.
