I took 3 month old Ruger on his first extended hike today! We walked about 2 miles and he enjoyed every second of it. Today was the first time I tried out the new harness I purchased for him, it really seemed to calm him down while on the leash. He sure is a curious pup, enjoy the pictures!

He is such a cutie. Shorthairs make great hiking companions. I got my first one 10 years age because I wanted a dog I could with. That was the beginning of the end. Now I have 4 and they have gotten me into all kinds of adventures. I still hike though and take all 4 of mine hiking with me. This year our big hiking trip was to Lake City, CO which is one of my favorite places. Enjoy the hiking.

I was hiking a little in Venice, Florida named sleeping turtle. I currently live in Mt. Dora, Florida in Lake County and I haven't been on any trails there yet

Oh what a cutie. I love his green harness. I Bet he will grow out of that too soon.  You will have lots of fun and adventure with him. Congratulations!! Love your pictures.

nice pictures brother, it's so cool having a male puppy. I grew up with female dogs in our family, but I love these little guys. He's like my little buddy. I can't wait to take him out on some real walks my guys too young right now for that. Gonna let him grow into his body before he goes venturing.
