Hello I have a 9month old Gsp and I was just wondering how long she will take until she is fully grown.

Thanks!

In my experience they'll reach full height around a year and fill out for an additional year.

The worst day of hunting is better than the best day at work.

I am a new GSP owner and decided to get TWO! They are 11 months old. I can tell you what the vet told me, but I think I semi-disagree. The vet told me that by 9 months, they are most of the times, fully grown, but they will fill out more over the next year or so until they are about 2. Just as soon as he said that, my male GSP gained 7 pounds in 2 months. In fairness, he has not gotten any taller, just a little more robust! He is a very large 74 pound GSP, of the stocky nature. My female has a smaller and thinner frame, and she is only 54 pounds. I have noticed no new growth in height on her either, however, she gained 7 pounds as well in the last 2 months. I asked a fellow GSP owner when her dog stopped growing, and she told me around 12-15 months was when she quit gaining or looking larger.

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."
