Hi All,

I've been lurking for awhile now, and I know yall love pics, so here are a few of our new girl, Ginny.  She's now 9 weeks old, although these pics were taken last weekend.  Thanks for providing a great online community from which I've learned a ton.  Enjoy (assuming I've uploaded the photos correctly)!

Thanks for the kind words and the warm welcome.  Ginny is our first GSP.  We are replacing an Irish Terrier that I still miss terribly.  A very good friend of mine hunts with GSP's and when he had a litter, he recommended them to me.  Surprisingly, she's not any more "high octane" than the Irish and she seems much more eager to please than he was.  Coming from excellent hunting stock, her ability to so quickly adapt to life as a pet is a testament to the breed's versatility.  She's brilliant, great with my kids and possesses a personality to match my own.  She's still a little timid in the water, but after a few minutes of watching the kids play, she couldn't resist following them.  I've successful convinced all of my buddies that we named her after the liquor, "Gin", but they'll all eventually figure out that "Ginny" is really just a reflection of my wife's fascination with all things Harry Potter.  Thanks again everyone.
