I was doing a hot evening play with Bugsy and hiding his winged bumper. I sent him to find it and he came back with a live mourning dove LOL

The stupid mourning doves are a constant source of fun for him

Sounds like my gang, but they go for the C130 white wing doves. Did he bring it to you alive? My oldest girl brings them to me alive, but unfortunately they usually die later. Now squirrels, rats, possums, and any furry critter is always killed before they bring them to me.

I feel like your Bugsy would just keep me in constant smiles with his antics :)

Bella was FRANTIC to get outside the other day and I thought it was just because the hubbs was out and she hates missing the action. I let her out and she ran straight to a spot she wouldn't leave despite me calling. So when my "NOW" didn't do the trick I walked over as I hate to repeat recall. Just as I got to her she turned to come to me, tail wagging, and stuck a dead chippy right in my face. Apprently Hubbs had just gotten it and hadn't retrieved it yet. She must have heard the BB gun pop. She was so proud...I screamed. Hubbs took it over from there :)

Yup Bev alive, always brings birds alive. A few of the doves seem to die afterward (heart attack?) but they are in good shape when he brings them.
He does kill fledglings if he gets hold of them ( and any furry things he catches)

Lol good girl Bella! DH shot a squirrel a while back and B was obsessed until he found it. Then he was proud as a peacock

I got myself a squirrel delivered to hand last week. Gun was SO very proud of his catch, he's been trying for months to get one!

Blitz 2 mornings in a row has been skunked... so he is on a mission to catch a skunk!

My dog kills everything she can catch. Sort of troublesome at first, but after hearing posts here about that being their instinct, I eased off a bit. My dog has a "hard" mouth, which will not bode well for hunting and retrieving as we move along into her second year.

Why do you think this?

Is she breaking bones of shot birds?

Either Blitz caught it or another animal did and then left it... we discovered a dead skunk in the yard and disposed of it...

That's great - wish mine would do that! Mine need a lot more training as they are basically "house dogs". I am fine with that but I think my husband might be doing bird with Velvet this fall. She already knows it as she did with her previous owner, she just needs some one on one with it again. Windsor on the other hand is good for lying around the house and chillaxing :)

The only thing Bo hunts are bugs. Raz on the other hand is a sharp little number and would take on any critter who enters our yard, furred or feathered.
