Tried typing my post on my tablet but didnt work or cuz I am still a little loopy from pain meds. Had outpatient gallbladder surgery yesterday...yuck. Velvet is really being a good girl. Windsor was so whiney last night and wont let Velvet near me and he growled at her and at Lou this morning. They are both out now but when they are in he wont leave my side and isnt nice to others....is this normal cuz I am sick ...maybe he is trying to protect me or something?

Ya, he's probably worried about you. Get better and rest lots. That surgery takes a lot out of you, even though it's outpatient.

No doubt he senses something is wrong and is protecting you.  I know when my husband was in the hospital and there was an extended time I was not home, my youngest GSP would not leave my side and would just sit and stare at me, like where have you been?

Hope you recover quickly!

Roz.

Wishing you a speedy recovery! I'm betting Windsor can sense you aren't yourself, and are in pain. He is worried about you and his attitude toward others may be a result of him not understanding why you aren't yourself, and some anxiety as a result.

Thanks for the well wishes :) Windsor is better now - no more growling at Velvet or Lou. He won't leave my side still. Funny if my motherinlaw opens up her side of the house, they both normally go running to visit her and Windsor won't go over there - he stays with me. He actually helped me today. I felt lousy last night after dinner and it was rough sleeping - all crampy and it's hard getting out of bed after being in it all night. I called him over, he came out of his crate in our room and over to me on the bed. He put both front paws up and stayed there and I grabbed him to help push myself up and he then stood by the bed on all fours and let me use him for support to steady myself. Once I get going and walk around it feels better but I'm so stiff in the mornings. He's really been great, Velvet too - she is sleeping at my feet right now while I'm sitting on the couch. Normally both are so spazzy but they have been so mellow. Nice company for me as I'm out for two weeks from work at least. And I was worried they'd be jumping all over me and knocking me down like they always did.

Osiris always seems to know when something is not right with me. It's amazing really.

I had my gallbladder out - hope you are feeling better! The recoverey is poopy but it's better now that it's gone!

I had to go back to work four days after surgery (no sick leave). It was not fun. Thankfully my office had a coach where I could crash for a noon-hour nap :)

Glad to hear your surgery went ok and that Windsor and Velvet are taking it easy on you  They actually are pretty good sick-mates, if you can ignore the big sad eyes which always make me feel guilty for not being able to be more entertaining

Miss you forever Kintra baby xxx
