Not an emergency, but when I woke up this morning I noticed Sadie has a limp.  Checked her feet and found she has a tear in one of her pads on her front foot. The tear is about an 1/8 inch wide and about 3/8 of an inch long, with a piece of the pad hanging loose.  It obviously bothers her when I touch it.  Of course, morning time is exercise time and she is pacing back and forth ready to go out and run.  I thought about using super glue to attach the hanging part of the pad.  Could someone please respond and let me know what I should do and if I should avoid exercise with her.  I don't see any blood or anything.  Any opinions would be fine.

If it's not bleeding, maybe you can wrap it in an old sock and duct tape everything down?

If Shes Limping she is in pain,

Id take her to the vet due to  risk of infection.

I believe ripped pads can be hard to heal.as in taking time.

clean the area, use some peroxide, apply some neosporen and wrap it if you can

We like EMT gel

Pads tend to heal quickly and easily

I do not feel qualified to offer medical advice

I did find the  artical   at the top   that has some good suggestions.

well wishes.

What pixie said. I use EMT Gel all the time. Should heal up quickly too. If you don't have peroxide saline solution works well for cleaning up a wound too. If you get it good and clean then super glue will work in a pinch, but you can also get any liquid bandage for a pharmacy. I would keep her off of it as much as you can today.

I would suggest getting Nu-Skin... works wonders. Google it.

Some of the bandage that wraps and sticks to itself may work well to keep her from messing with it as well after you get it cleaned up. We got both pad tear gel and the bandage from our local feed store, so you can probably find it without going to the Vet if you prefer to wait on that.

Hope she heels quickly so she can get back to morning exercise :)

I used Cut Heal when Bugsy ripped a pad and it healed super fast and his pad was nearly cut off :(

Recently he got a slice in one and I cleaned it up, put Cut Heal on it and never looked back

I bought that and EMT gel from a Tractor Supply

It's Bugsy's world...

Thanks everyone for your help. Got the problem solved with your advice. Needed to know right away because we were just leaving for a weekend camping trip and the dog was part of it and I needed to get the problem taken care of. She is better now.
