For the past 6 months i've been battling to keep in place the floor rugs that i got for Kintra to play on - aaahhh she was such a good girl, not like some i could mention :

The rugs are now removed as she will not give me a moment's peace to study/do housework/relax etc without pulling up the rugs

Please excuse all the Keely hair in the foreground, i do hoover once every 2 days

To funny, although probably not to you. I can definitely understand why you took up the throw rugs. :-)

I have carpeting, but have a throw rug in front of the front door to wipe feet on. Every time I leave and come home, that rug is shoved up tight against the door. I can barely get in. I know it's Lucy. She must run full speed at it and slide up against the door. Never happened till she arrived to stay. :-)

I hear ye on the rug being pushed up against the door - Keely has managed to trap me in the bathroom several times by doing that.

I can TOTALLY relate to this rug tactic. Sizzle is a monster about doing the same exact thing to get my attention!!!! Only she does it with a 5x7 area rug I have in the living room. She either runs at it and bunches it up, or she grabs an end and takes off through the house with it. I have since given up even having it on the floor and took it up I got so frustrated with her

Ha ours used to do this. Then I found this amazing non permanent double sided carpet tape from homebase. Sticks the rugs to our floor, even a runner, and takes a lot of punishment!

I too get this.  I have a rug in each bathroom, which are rarely where they are supposed to be as they are grabbed and taken out.  The one rug in the living room, much larger is never in the right place.  I tried the double sided tape.  With three of them the force of the slide is just too much for the tape.  I also do not have any cute throw pillows in my house.  The dogs think they are toys for playing tug.  My husband is not good about grabbing anything from their mouths before he lets them out the door . . . got tired of all this stuff lying out in the yard for everyone to see.

Sigh . . . and I really do love cute throw pillows and rugs in their places, but the shorthairs win.

Roz.
