Florida might be too hot for Rocky!! Rocky turns into a pancake in the heat. Summers are tougher on Rocky than winter that is why we have to have a swimming pool for Rocky in the warmer weather. Rocky runs, jumps in his pool, chases a tennis ball a few times and dips in his pool. If dogs are allowed on beaches in Florida I know Rocky would love the water and running on the sand. Although with all this snow and sub zero temps Florida does sound really good!!!
Ace, love those big blue balls your GSPs are carrying in their mouths. And they look real tuckered afterwards!!! Do they try to chew the handle off the ball ever??? I think they are called jolly balls. I bought Rocky a Jolly ball and he was not happy until the handle was completely chewed off. Rocky was 2 years old when I bought him his Jolly Ball so maybe now that he is 6 yrs, it may last longer if I buy him another. |

Marie we have sevreal dog parks right on the beach! I would imagine dogs have to adjust to new climates as people do... I think Jackson would be a WUSS in the cold! He climbs under the coversin the am when we dont turn the heat on and our temp dips here!! He has thin blood! hehe |

Jodi, I went to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl around New Years. My grandmother watches my dogs for me. She lives in north GA on the TN, NC line. The temp dropped down to 4∘and my grandmother said Kerney was still running around like crazy outside. Bailey on the other hand was like No Thank You!!! She just wanted to stay inside. I think my 2 GSP's would love the beach. I want to try and take them down to FL this summer. Reggie isn't very found of water. He is a sissy about it.

I have thought about that as a post ( TAILS )...I'm really glad I hadn't got around to it YET.
The only yhing is the tail post would have to be video....those wiggle butts are great

Ace, Yes the jolly balls are easy to throw with the handle..BUT you didn't warn them about the WET SLIME on the handle..hahaha
Got myself a good handful the other day. Cody sure can slime his up.

Great ears!
The slime on the handles is bad enough but the frisbee is worse cause when I throw it it goes everywhere even on me! |

While adding some pictures to my computer this morning ( can you tell I got a snow day off of working at school ) I found this picture of Cody right after we rescue him. Throw him a ball and that dog ran and ran and ran somemore when we put him in the fenced in back yard. I didn't think the poor thing was ever going to stop. He was kept tied to a tree so he must of enjoy stretching his legs. He isn't much more then a blur but you can see those silly ears. He was a boney thing . He sure has changed since the end of July.
Cody day after we rescue him. July 07 I called him a boney bag of ears..
