As soon as we finally are clear of any health things going on another one springs up on us. Luna is a year and half and has occasionally on a very short occasion chewed at her paw, however over the past 2-4 weeks she has significantly been chewing at her paws. Everything I read up on it says it's proably allergy, but this late in the spring I'm having a hard time pinpointing what it could be. We got a new delivery of woodchips around our veggie garden she likes to go in that we haven't had before, and we changed her food from taste of the wild to nature's variety instinct salmon in the past 3 weeks. The itchy-ness is really remaining in between her pawpads where it hasn't gotten bloody, but dark in color from licking and chewing. I've been cleaning it with some hydrogen peroxide when it looks worse and starting to look red, and even put some EMT gel on there to help it heal. At this point I'm thinking of almost putting dog booties on for her to leave it alone but know that those won't last long either.
Any advice would be appreciated!
