We went to the United Kennel Club Premier dog show this past weekend. We had a great weekend with alot of fun!!!

Phoenix was HOT on the dock again this weekend. She hit several jumps over 23' and placed 3rd in the Ultimate Finals with a jump of 24'3" and made her debut in doing a sport called Fetch It and placed 3rd with a distance of 19' the winner got a 20'.

Some of our pups from Phoenix and Cody also jumped this weekend from our 2011 litter.

Cooper hit a jump of 22'11" and  several others over 21'!! He also did his first weight pull competition getting his first leg toward his weight pull title. And Cooper took an Award of Excellence in the show ring and got his first Total Dog Award!

Gunnar did weight pull as well! He LOVED It and pulled over 1200 lbs on Firday and over 1400lbs on Sunday earning his frist two legs of his weight pull title. He got a reserve Champion win in the show ring and also earned his first Total Dog award!

Gracie also went dock jumping on Friday and got 2 jumps over 20'! Her previous best was 16'.

And Rumor jmped on Thursday. I haven't been working any dock jumping with her so she got a baby jump of just over 7'. But it is a start.

And last was our boy Tucson who got two jumps over 15' toward his next title in the senior division. This is new personal bests for him as well.

It was a lot of fun. Hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Awesome! I'm jealous of all this jumping fun. I imagine Bella would just have a "baby jump" too lol, but she would love it. Still hoping to make the event in Gaylord in August.

I am confident that Rumor will have further jumps starting in July as we will hit the jumps a lot in Marne in July as it is sooo close to home :) It is a blast and we have a lot of fun doing all this stuff with the dogs.

so impressive! I would love to get Luna to learn to jump off a dock...last summer she learned and took the plunge with swimming at around 7 months of age and now LOVES to swim. Any advice on what's the best way to teach a dog to jump in?
Great job this weekend!

Very cool ! I would love to go to one of these events . Do they have them here in the east ? Not to enter just to watch & see all the fine specimens flying through the air !

It looks like you are in Washingtong State? I just became friends with someone on facebook a month or so ago that does dock jumping with her GSP who lives in Washington. Are you on facebook? I could try to get you guys connected and see if she could help you get started  Just shoot me a message with how to find you on facebook and I will add you.

Yes there are events on the east coast. Not sure how many. There are two organizatoins you can look at to see though. First is Ultimate Air Dogs who we jump with the most due to the number of events in MI and the fact that we can get titles through UKC with them. Their website is www.ultimateairdogs.net and then go to the "events" tab.

Another wonderful organization is Dock Dogs. www.dockdogs.com and they also have an events section.

Hope that helps!

Great pictures and a lot of fun.

I would not be surprised to see Gunnar pull close to 3,000 in the fall when it is on the rails system. Rails is a lot easier for a dog to pull on. I was very impressed by him though and his first weekend out doing this!
