Warning - i'm not the most techy minded of people so please answer as if you're talking to a 5-year-old where this is concerned

1. I cant watch ANY online videos as of last week for some reason. OH asked if i'd ok'd any updates and to be honest i dont believe so, although if they are from a reputable source ie microsoft, adobe, etc i do normally just go ahead, but i dont remember any pop ups recently. I've got flash 11.3 and apparently youtube does have probs with this sometimes but i cant watch any videos on this site (inc non-youtube source videos). Any ideas?

2. On the same subject, i'm looking for a camcorder as i love taking video.  I currently use my panasonic lumix which does decent video but not up to camcorder standard, plus you cant zoom whilst videoing.  I would be looking something pretty robust as i would like to take it everywhere i go with the Keely. Also ideally it would be waterproof, water resistant, or at least have a water resistant casing or operating cover available as an accessory as it's pretty limiting to take video or photos in dry conditions only in this country

I dont want to limit my budget as such because i'm pretty keen and happy to save (for a long time if need be ) for the right model.

I know some of you (ahem! Smatulewicz ) are pretty clued-up on taking videos and would really appreciate any ideas or recommendations.  Thanks in advance guys x

I can't help much on the computer issue end...I holler for the hubbs when computer issues arise. BUT, on the camera standpoint - I shoot video one of two ways 1. With my smaller carry with Nikon (Nikon S9300) or 2. with our Flip Video.

Both shoot high def and are clear even when we watch them on a 46 in TV, but I would say the Flip shoots a little bitter nicer. I tend to not use it as much because I like to carry the option that can take both photo and video (if you are thinking of a new camera too).

The Flip is nice and portable, about the same size as a small camera. I want to say they do make a waterproof model now, but if not...there are waterproof casings you can buy. You can get a regular Flip relatively inexpensive, but I think it is worth springing for one that shoots in HD. I think we can get 4 hours of video on ours. The only thing I don't like is how long it takes to charge. I love it's portability though. I'm more into photos than video, but I love having the option to do both. Once I realized I had a little video editing thing on my computer I started doing more so now we have cute memories of Bella growing up.

It is likely a plug in that has stopped working. Try stopping and restarting your browser. If that doesn't do it you can try rebooting. If it is a plug-in that should fix the problem. What browser do you use? I use Chrome and the plug-ins stop every once in a while on it and I assume that other browsers have the same problem. If that doesn't work, not sure what it might be.

I used chrome previously then changed (cant remember why). But we've actually tried uninstalling flash then re-installing and when you try to re-install 11.3 it times out. OH is taking my laptop into work on wednesday to see if his IT guy can have a look at it - makes me realise just how much i rely on having to hand, and also how much i view videos!

I always do the 'restart' method first when encountering odd changes to my computer - after that I just mooch around until I discover the issue so that won't help although I do fancy a return to Scotland :)

As for the video camera - I use my phone. We have a handheld and it does a great job but its less convenient than my phone
HOWEVER...............
I have heard great things about the Kodak PlaySport series (ZX5 or older ZX3 and probably other models)
and there is a Samsung HMX-W200 or something like that
I would definitely go to something waterproof and the bonus is these things are much cheaper than they used to be, because so many use their phone instead
