I had thought we would go to the UAD event in Gaylord in August, but then I saw the event in Traverse City in July. Thinking I may try this one instead. Will anyone be there? Do the events usually have an open dock time for dogs just wanting to try it out?

The event in Traverse City is a MAAAAADDDD HOUUUSEEEE but a lot of fun! It is right on the bay. We haven't gone to that one since adopting our son from Guatemala because it is so busy we had people standing INSIDE our EZ Up Tent watching the competition. This event was one that doesn't normally have a lot of "down time" for new dogs. If you want one that has good down time and practice time Marne in July is a great option. Probably the one in Gaylord you were thinking of. There is one in Stanton in August along with one in Mecosta in August as well that I would think would be good ones for down time. If you go make sure you pack your walking legs as you will walk a distance for parking and unloading along with your patience as it is a zoo but sooooooo much fun!

Haha, I didn't think about the fact it is already a touristy location on top of a town festival. I have never been and have been wanting to go, but it may not be the best time if I want to breathe and move freely I would love to make it to some of the other events, but we are Yoopers and the driving can get fairly long to try and make a weekend out of it. Gaylord we will do for sure. Not sure if I can convince hubbs on any others further away.
