My son Vinnie ran Murphy in the Pheasent Forever Gun dog challenge two weeks ago and came in dead last. Murphy was for some reason not focused on really hunting and Vinnie did not do a good job of directing him. Now even though he was upset we talked about it and what he did wrong and how to hopefully avoid those same mistakes in the future. Last Sunday Vinnie ran Murphy in another event using the same format as the week before and worked to corect his mistakes. Murphy for his part responded great to the simple changes Vinnie made and showed what he could really do in the field. Vinnie had a perfect 90 score with a 7 minute 14 second run beating the second place dog by 3 minutes. The only bad thing about it is I was running Greta in the same event and heard about his handing Dad is butt on a plate the whole way home LOL.

Hehehe. You did a good job of training your boy, and he did a good job of listening.  Congrats, it was a win win day.
