I'd forgotten how difficult it is to actually calm a pup down enough to protect their joints and prevent any early injuries.  Keely's really wild about retrieving her ball and has been pretty much since we brought her home.  We put a rug down in the hallway for Kintra to stop her skidding about, and i also applied an anti slip product to the wooden floors to help as much as possible. But the problem with Keely is that she tries to lead all games into a game of retrieving in the hallway (when we're not outside).  I constantly go between feeling guilty for not playing enough to feeling guilty for playing fetch too much.  Unfortunately she likes to jump for the ball, even when it doesnt really leave the ground.

Miss you forever Kintra baby xxx

My personal opinion, you aren't going to be doing too much damage by playing ball in the house.

Most damage is caused by excessive running / jumping large obstacles during growth.

I wouldn't worry about playing fetch in the house. The issues comes in with forced repetitive jumping or running on asphalt as in jogging with you dog. The forced jumping is like training jumps for agility. The stuff she does on her own is not an issue.
