Just wanted to give you all an update on Crash. He is doing great and we have really settled in. He is now a little over a year and a half. I couldn't be happier with him. His prey drive has really kicked in...and I enjoy that part. Excpet when he chased 3 deer through the woods behind my house. I thought I'd never see him again! But he came back 5 minutes later.

A few tips from a first time GSP owner:

I wish I would have leash trained him better, earlier. I have plenty of room to let him roam off leash and his recall is GREAT but he is a little hyper on leash.

He knows not to jump on me and get to exctied around me. But I did not work with him enough as a puppy around smaller kids. He gets a little excited when the nieces and nephews come over. He settles down quickly, but it's intimidating for the kids.
