I think it is Cody's mom that is on this site; her Cody that they rescued looks like both of your dogs too. He has 2 white feet! Those solids are so pretty dogs!

My husband just read some of the posts and reminded me of one. Brad had just opened a Miller Lite, set it down on the coffee table, then the phone rang. After he got off the phone, he sat back down and reached for his beer can. It was not there, thinking he took it with when he answered the phone he searched the kitchen. He is now wondering if he's got an early onset of alzheimer's, did he even take the beer out of the fridge in the first place? What else can one do in this situation, but take another beer out of the fridge. He goes back into the living room and wonders where Tory is, he has been pretty quiet throughout this ordeal. Brad sees him behind the couch, you guessed it, with the missing beer. The can was empty and he hadn't spilled a drop.

We take Jackson with us to "world of beer" a place that has hundreds of beers from around the world...(go figure) he LOVES going...and he listens so well because he can smell all the lovely brews we are enjoying at our table.   Plus he can hang out with us on the patio instead of sitting at home by himself! Every so often I will give him a taste off my finger...he likes the Chimay best!  hehe

I forgot to add that I caught Jackson pointing and chasing bats in the backyard last evening...he came and got me too...just to have me watch him jumping up (not even close to catching them)

Ok I have a some that I haven't seen listed yet:

1. When Daisy is playing with a toy with a squeaker she will jump on it repeatedly with her front feet.  I call it the jackhammer.  Always right where the squeaker is.

2.  When she comes in from being outside she will go into the kitchen and stand in front of the treat jar until I give her a bone.  She will then carry it into the living room and toss it around and pounce on it at least 4 times before she will eat it. ( I think she has been watching the cats)

3.  At night in bed her legs somehow seem to grow 3 feet longer and lose the ability to bend.  She takes up enough room for at least 2 people.

That is so true about how they sleep with their legs out straight. I'll go to be with Webster curled up & wake up to legs straight into my back.

Webster seems to have the ability to sleep with his eyes open. It's kind of creepy, his eyes will be open but his legs & body will twitch.

It's also true that they know our routines. My husband is gone from Monday morning to Friday evening. Webster knows that Saturday morning we have coffee in bed then go for a hike. As soon as we're out of bed Webster gets his collar then waits by the door.

He also go nuts when he hears the drawer where I keep my keys opening & then the keys clinking, he goes sits by the door with a look like 'you're not going without me, right?

Webster goes to doggy daycare on occasion. Sometimes after I pick him up I go to the grocery store. When I make a turn that's different from our way home Webster will pick his head up like he's trying to figure out where we're going.

Bo's done that too

He has what we call a Croco-dog look. Y'lnow how crocodiles float in the water and all you can see are their eyes blinking. Bo is like that when he is in his crate. He'll lie there and all you will see is this eye following you around ... he won't make a noise

Chase stares at the ceiling. We have no idea why. It doesnt matter what room or time of day. He will even whine and sometimes pace a few times and lay back down like something is realy there and he WANTS it. It actually drives us nuts!!! He also "snorfs" the door. When we come home or are in a room with the door closed, he will stand on the other side with his nose to the jam and breathe in real deep and exhale. Scares me sometimes when the house is real quiet, LOL.

Cody strange quirk is he bites off the lids of milk jugs.
On our winter pool cover we have these black water tray things that hold the cover on. My hubby also likes to add gallon milk jugs of water and put them on here or there. My daughter gives him her empty jugs, he fills them with water and puts the lid on and takes them outside, sometimes 2 or 3 at a time. We notice the lids have been taken off and are laying by the jugs. So the next time he took 3 jugs out, we watched out the window after putting Cody outback and sure enough he goes over and checks the new milk jugs, bites the lid off and leaves it and goes to the next one, bites it off. Not sure why but he just doesn't like the lids on the jugs!!

Barb

I was wondering if that was a pool in one of your other pics...Does it have a hard cover ? I've never really thought about how to have SAFE pool...when it's covered with snow   You wouldn't even know it was there

My dogs go crazy in the summer when a moth will get in the house. They point it and whine. Just drives them nuts. I love to watch their stunts when trying to catch butterflies. You should see the acrobats.

Renee, no it isn't a hard cover, but you can always tell where it is, the water is drained some in the fall and the covered and weight are way off to the side. So the lumps of the weight tubes and water trays stick out and the snow on the cover it selfs melts fast, maybe from the heat of the pool water itselfs, not sure why. No human or dog has ever missed it andfell in. We had it 30 years now. Cody just walks on the cover that hangs 4 to 5 feet on the cement to get the lid off the jug. He doesn't like water so he doesn't go near it in the summer either. Cody would not may a air docking dog. He won't even stand in the little kiddi pool I keep out in the summer for my Bostons. He will drink out of the kiddie pool ,but won't get in. He runs from the garden hose so I think someone scared him in his old life. You pick up the garden hose to water the plants and the guy runs for cover.

When you are playing fetch or what not with your gsp. Does anyone else's get right in front of you and turn their rear at you and walk sideways with their tail pointing in the direction? Mocha does this all the time and I think it's hilarious. Does not do this while hunting only playing frisbee. She'll stop and then I have to pat her on the back. Any one else?
